A superbly made Heritage Stradivari Style Violin, purchased with a beautiful Siqueira Atelier bow and Hidersine hard case from J P Guiver in 2011 at a cost of £1957.
This Heritage violin is hand carved in maple & spruce with a premium quality bridge, ebony & rosewood fittings, and hand applied spirit varnish. As this is a Heritage Stradivarius copy, the violin is marked inside the sound hole as "Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis Faciebat Anno 1716". Described by the Hills as “a superb example in every aspect, and quite of the character we should expect.” It comes fitted with Thomastik Dominant strings which, combined with the R. Siqueira bow, produces a wonderfully mature, tonally rich sound.
The violin has been very well looked after, having only occasional use at home and at lessons. We are selling this complete, with the Brazilian Siqueira Atelier bow, Hidersine hard case, Kun shoulder rest, some spare Dominant strings, and a cake of Melos Violin Dark rosin. Viewings are most welcome.
