Maidstone three quarter size violin

A Maidstone 3/4 size violin, label inside the body is Murdoch Murdoch and Co, of London. The violin is in very good condition for age - the measurements are 13 inches (33cm) for the body and 21 inches (53.3 cm) in total. The strings have all been replaced with Dominant strings and the instrument plays well and has a very good clear tone. This is an ideal instrument for either a beginner or early grades and the size is compatable for children 8-12 years. The instrument comes with a chin rest, the original case (in need of some TLC) and a bow. The bow needs to be re-haired/repaired. Maidstone violins were commissioned and imported during the late 1800's and early 1900's by the Murdoch company.
